"And He spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint..."
Luke 18:1
(KJV)
Luke 18:1
(KJV)
First of all, I want to say how very much I appreciate ALL of you, dear friends.
Your prayers, support, dear comments, and kindness are gifts that mean more to me than I know how to express.
God has really, really helped me.
I know you have played a huge part in that, because I have felt the weight of your many prayers.
God has answered in so many ways, and I cannot thank Him enough.
I hope to share some of the spiritual warfare lessons
God has been teaching me while going through such fiery trials.
He is giving me lots of precious Scriptures to add to the Massive Scriptural Arsenal,
and I want to share them with you as soon as I can.
Thank you for all of the wonderful verses you shared here on the blog.
Oh, was I ever blessed!
God's Word is ALIVE, and it can quicken even the saddest of hearts and breathe new life back in to places that are broken and distressed.
It reminds me of these words penned by Fanny Crosby,
"Down in the human heart, crushed by the tempter,
Feelings lie buried that grace can restore;
Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness,
Chords that were broken will vibrate once more."
(From her song, "Rescue the Perishing".)

I come to you tonight with yet another plea for earnest prayer for my dear niece, Kristen.
Her time of delivery is drawing very near, and there is much concern over the outcome.
She is still on the blood thinning medication, due to the blood clot being in her lung,
and there is great risk to both her and the baby for her to go into labor while on the medicine.
Yet, there seems to be no other choice.
There is still confusion as to her exact due date, which makes this even more complicated,
because she needs to be off her current medicine and switched to another one for a certain span of time before giving birth.
Timing is everything, and with them not being able to know a certain due date,
the risk is huge.
I'll tell you the truth, my heart can easily become overwrought with fear when I hear of the comments that are being made by her doctors, as they explain the "what ifs" and gravity of her situation.
But, I must look to the One Who is in ultimate control, and Who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we can ask or think. (Ephesians 3:20)
Please, PLEASE pray.
I know so many of you are already faithfully doing that, and I just have no words to tell you how much my family and I appreciate it.
We will all be so glad when this is all over, and we are just trusting GOD for a wonderful outcome,
both for Kristen and for her precious baby boy.
I can't thank you enough for helping to lift them regularly to the Father in prayer.
I want you to know that I am praying for so many of you and your requests, also,
as the dear Lord brings you to mind and reminds me of your needs.
"Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."
Galatians 6:2
What a dear blessing that we can bear one another's burdens and fulfill the law of our dear Lord!
I SO look forward to posting a victory report filled with praises to God for the amazing miracle He has performed for Kristen and her baby!
In Matthew 9:29, Jesus said, "According to your faith be it unto you."
My faith is believing that God will spare Kristen's and her baby's lives to a ripe, old age in good health, in Jesus' name.
May He do the same for each of you dear readers, too, regardless what you are facing in your lives.
"As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He saith unto the ruler of the synagogue,
Be not afraid, only believe."
Mark 5:36
"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."
Hebrews 13:8
Continuing to pray for Kristen, her baby and family, as well as for you and yours.
ReplyDeleteIn difficult time, no matter how hard it is, we must continue to believe that God is in control, that He loves us, and that He wants the best outcome for us in the situation we are in. He brought us to this situation, for reasons best known to Himself, and He will see us through it.
We all join you here in prayer in the name of Jesus that God is listening to us and will respond accordingly.
God bless.
Yes, Victor, amen, and amen! Your prayers and continual support on this journey has meant so much to us! God bless you, my friend.
DeleteHi Cheryl! When I created my war room, I made sure Kristen and her baby boy were included on my prayer wall. I'm continuing to pray for them both. And for you too as I know this has been difficult for you.
ReplyDeleteOh, Regina! That just touches me so deeply to know that Kristen and her baby boy are on your prayer wall. Praise God for precious friends like you who care and have taken this so to heart! I wish I could give you a big hug, sweet sister. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
DeleteOh Dear Lord Jesus, Please Lord hear the cry of our hearts for Kristen and this precious baby boy. Lord, do ONLY as you can do. In Your precious Name I pray. Amen.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings dear Cheryl.
Cindy
Yes, dear, precious Lord! Hear this heartfelt, sincere prayer! Thank you ever so much, dear friend. You are such a comfort and encouragement to us in this trial. May God bless you so much in return. Sending hugs and much love back to you. :)
DeleteOh, dear Cheryl. We're all waiting for that Victory report also. Dennis and I are continuing in prayer for Kristen and that sweet baby and for your entire family. Our hope and our trust is in the Lord. The Author and the Perfector of life. I also pray that you will feel His comforting touch, as is obvious just how much this is wearing on you my friend.
ReplyDeleteBlessings always, Betsy
Oh, Betsy! It just means SO much to us that you and Dennis are so faithfully praying for dear Kristen and her baby and all of us! I don't have words to express how much your faithful support, friendship, and encouragement means to me. I pray for you often, too, dear friend, and I trust you are feeling much better. God bless you and Dennis in a HUGE way!!
DeletePraying for safety for Kristen and the baby, and for peace for you and the family, that you know God with you as you wait and pray.
ReplyDeleteThank you ever so much, Lesley! I so appreciate your support and prayers. They truly mean SO much! God bless you, my friend.
DeleteAbsolutely will continue to pray for Kristin and baby, Cheryl. Please let us know when there's an update. ((Hug))
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Brenda! I surely will update, Lord willing, and I am believing God that it will be a WONDERFUL, victorious update! We so appreciate your prayers and support! God bless you!
DeleteOh, precious Cheryl, I have just prayed for you all...especially for Kristen and her precious baby boy. The stress on you all must be tremendous, and yet we always are reminded that God is in complete control - even when it doesn't "feel" like it. That's when our faith is tested and strengthened. May God be very near to you all. So continuing to pray that God would give wisdom and discernment to the doctors. I also wanted to share a prayer request for the Gray family in South Africa whose home burned to the ground. God allowed them all to get out with essentials, but this beloved family of parents and seven children needs our continued prayers. I believe you may follow Kelly-Anne. Much love! xoxo
ReplyDeleteDear, sweet Cheryl! THANK YOU so very much for your precious prayers!! Oh, they do mean so much to us! Oh, my, I did hear from dear Kelly-Anne, and our hearts have been so burdened over what has happened to them! It is so hard to know what to do to help in a time like this, and I am so thankful prayer is a long-range weapon, as my dear mother used to say. We are surely lifting Kelly-Anne and her dear family in prayer. May God have mercy on them and all who are suffering. Sending you much love and gratitude, sweet friend...you are such a dear blessing to me!
DeletePraying for Kristen and her baby along with the rest of your family.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Floyd. We appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts. God bless you, brother.
Deletepraying without ceasing... Our Heavenly Father, we ask that You wrap Your Loving Arms around Kristen and her precious baby boy, give them a continual awareness of Your Healing Presence and Your Peace. We come to You believing that All things are Possible with You. We are bringing Kristen and her precious baby boy to You acknowledging that Kristen’s body and her baby boy’s body belong to You. You made them, You know what’s wrong, and You know how to fix it. You alone are the Great Physician. You are Jehovah Jireh, the One who can meet this need. You are Jehovah Rapha, the One who heals. We ask that You give the doctors wisdom in knowing what to do and when to do it. Lord Jesus, we know and believe that by Your stripes we are already healed. You are El Shaddai, Almighty God, nothing is too difficult for You. But God, whatever You decide to do, we believe You have Your reasons and we will accept it. We may not understand it, but we do accept it. We know You never make a mistake, that You do all things perfectly, and You are always on Time. As in all things, we ask that Your Will be done, and no matter what, we will keep looking to You as our Savior and our Lord. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your faithful prayers, Beth. We appreciate it so very much! God bless you!
DeleteSending prayers for Kristen, baby and her family. May God bless each one of them.. This is so heart breaking, I know they have to be so scared.. But we know...... God is with Kristen and her baby. He has brought her this far. What a blessing.. God is awesome.. Tell Kristen that I will be praying, and will ask all to pray for her and baby too. hugs.
ReplyDeleteOH, dear friend! She is SO scared...it is just heart-wrenching! Yes, praise God, He has brought her this far. The Lord reminded me of that earlier tonight when I was so distraught. We just can't begin to tell you how much we appreciate your prayers and you asking others to pray! May God bless and reward you abundantly!
DeleteThere is a song going through my head right now that was popular in the 90's maybe I think...
ReplyDeleteGod will make a way when there seems to be no way,
He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for me;
He will be my guide, hold me closely to His side;
with love and strength for each new day,
He will make a way, He will make a way.
By a roadway in the wilderness, He'll lead me
And rivers in the desert will I see
Heaven and Earth will fade but His Word will still remain
And He will do something new today
God will make a way when there seems to be no way,
He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way for me;
He will be my guide, hold me closely to His side;
with love and strength for each new day,
He will make a way, He will make a way.
Praying for Kristen and her baby boy...and for you, dear Cheryl. Sending my love and hugs! ♥
Dear Debby! Those words are just beautiful!! Oh, how they blessed me tonight! I have never heard that song. I can't thank you enough for typing it all out and sharing it with us. Your prayers and support and friendship have been such a sustaining force throughout this battle. May God bless you abundantly. Much love and many hugs back to you!
DeleteHi, Cheryl!
ReplyDeleteThis is very serious and I love that Eph 3:20 verse you quote. I embrace it in my prayers for Kristen and baby and all the family. Sending hugs to you, dear friend. May you feel peace. Love you.
Oh, my friend! It is so serious. It is just so awful to think of the "what ifs", but we know they do not come from God, and we must choose to believe, in spite of all. You will never know how much I love and appreciate you and your dear friendship and support to all of us. May the Lord richly bless you as I know you are going through such a sad time...I am praying for you, dear friend.
DeleteRemember the man that was let down from the ceiling before Jesus by his friends. Kristen has many many people praying for her GOD IS FOR KRISTEN AND HER BABY! Fear not! I know Kristen is filled with fear. Encourage her as you can. We will pray for her. But we must trust God in this. HE IS GOOD! There is a call on Kristen, her husband, and this child. They have a purpose that S.... is trying to cancel, BUT GOD!!!
ReplyDeleteWe must trust God to be good and to take care of her. He loves her more than we can imagine. He loves this baby more than we can imagine. This is going to have a good outcome. God is not surprised by this. He can do all things! This is not too hard for him.
Trust dear friend. Trust!
Hugs and prayers,
Laura
Oh, my, I am just SO grateful for all of the prayers that are going up for dear Kristen and her baby. My sister and I were just talking earlier that sometimes, when you are so closely involved in a situation, you have to allow others to have faith and pray you through such a time. This is one such time, without a doubt. I do believe God is going to see them through, and I just have to cling to His promises, in spite of all the doctors are saying. The bigger the impossibility, the greater the miracle. You are right, this is NOT too hard for our dear Lord. Praise His name! Praying much for you, too, dear friend, and believing God to bring you through all you are facing, also. Sending hugs and prayers back to you, sweet Laura!!
DeleteDear Cheryl,
ReplyDeleteI am praying for Kristen and her precious little baby now. May the Lord hold her up, and keep her womb closed until just the right moment, when everything is prepared! I am so thankful that the Lord has been holding you also, and speaking His Word to you. Your trust in this battle is a such a testimony to God's Grace and Sustaining Power! May He bring you sweet encouragement tonight, my friend! Hugs and Love to you!
Amen, and amen! I love the way you worded that, dear Bettie! God is able, and knowing you and so many other precious others are praying so hard just fills my heart with unspeakable comfort. I know you are suffering so much in your own body, and I just can't thank you enough for holding us up in this battle. I am praying for you, sweet friend and sending much love to you!
DeleteThanks for this update, Cheryl. I can only imagine how hard this is on everyone. God is near all who trust in Him and we are safe in His faithful hands.
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear Dayle. I am so grateful to know we are safe in His hands...thank you for that sweet reminder. We so appreciate your continued prayers. If you think of it, could you ask your dear Mom and Daddy to pray, also? I know they are Godly, praying people, and would so appreciate their prayers. God bless you, my sweet friend. :)
DeleteMy sweet, sweet friend, your precious niece and her baby remain in my prayers. Thank you for the update.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Lyli. We so appreciate your prayers!
DeleteI am praying. I thank you too for prayers for my little Mum. She had almost a fortnights enforced rest a wee while back and she is now so much better. We are still awaiting a date for her op but I believe it is all in the Lord's hands. It will happen in his perfect timing.
ReplyDeleteDiana
Thank you so much for praying, Diana. It means so much to us! I am so thankful to know your little mother is doing so much better. I trust God will allow her surgery to happen when it is best for her. As you said, it is in His hands, and we know that He knows best. Give her a hug from me! God bless you both, sweet friend. :)
DeleteOh Dear Cheryl! This long ordeal for poor Kristen has seemed to stretch endlessly, but truly we know and believe that the hand of the LORD will be with her through the pregnancy, and that she and the little one will have a miraculous story to tell about the goodness of the Lord! I can only imagine just how worrisome it all is! We are continuing to pray and believe! That sweet picture of the little one in the womb is just precious! He has no idea of the prayers being made on his behalf, but they are! He is safe and protected with the prayers of all who have been praying, and we continue to believe all will be well in Jesus name, and a miraculous story to tell of the power and healing of the Lord! With love and hugs to you today!
ReplyDeleteOh, it surely does seem to stretch endlessly...it feels like it has been going on for SO long. God has surely brought her this far, and we can only trust and believe that He will continue to answer the many faithful prayers on her behalf. You are right, the little guy doesn't even realize how many prayers are going up for him, but our dear Lord knows! And He is hearing. We are surely believing for that miraculous story! Thank you ever so much for love and concern and prayers, dear friend. Sending much love and gratitude back to you!!
