Rest In Peace, Dear Aunt Vaida

"Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them."
Revelation 14:13
(KJV)

It is with a broken heart that I write this post.
I know many of you have been praying and asking about our dear Aunt Vaida,
and you will never know how much we appreciate every prayer you have prayed on her behalf.
Last night, she had to be rushed back to the hospital, and I got to talk to her by phone, one, last time.
Earlier today, she had to be moved to the Intensive Care Unit, and this evening, at approximately 5:00 PM, she simply closed her eyes and was carried by the angels straight into the arms of the One she has loved and served for so many, many years.
I cannot even begin to express the deep sorrow in our hearts.
We can't believe she is gone, nor do we know how Uncle Nelson will go on without her.

PLEASE keep him and our family in your prayers, dear friends.
We are most grateful.
God bless you.

  2. My condolences for your broken hearts.
Though we know she is safely with her Jesus, those left behind must go on with hearts of loneliness in the loss of a dear loved one.

  3. I know you rejoice that she is with our precious Lord now, but just as much, I know your hearts are grieved because of how much you are going to miss her. Praying for comfort and peace for Uncle Nelson especially. Men often have a more difficult time adjusting to the passing of a spouse than women do. Holding him close in prayer.

    Love,
    Patti

    1. Oh, thank you, sweet Betsy! Your prayers and kind words mean so much to us! I know...it is unbelievable. We were just talking about all we have lost in the past not even 8 months, not to mention the ones before that time frame. God knows, and we are surely leaning hard on Him. Uncle Nelson is SO pitiful. We cry together on the phone and trust God for comfort. Sending much love and many blessings back to you, sweet, faithful friend.

    1. Truer words were never spoken, sweet friend. Our loss is surely Heaven's gain. I have ZERO doubt where Aunt Vaida is. I wish every one of you dear readers could have known her and had her in your lives. She was SO much fun, so full of life, so vibrant and spunky and feisty, and she loved Jesus fiercely. She would do anything in the world for the ones she loved. Oh, my word, I am just so heartbroken...I can hardly type this through the tears. I can't believe she is gone. Thank you so much for your prayers. Much love to you. Praying for you, too.

  10. Cheryl, I am praying for you and your family... O Heavenly Father, You are Jehovah Jireh, our provider, You are El Shaddai, our all-sufficient Heavenly Father, our Abba Daddy, You are everything we need. We ask you to wrap Your Loving Arms around Cheryl and her family in the homegoing of her dear aunt Vaida. You are close to the brokenhearted and You save those who are crushed in spirit. We know You respond to our sighs, our tears and our murmurs. We know You are near to all who call upon You; so near that You can feel breath when no voice can be heard for faintness. You are Jehovah Ra’ah, You are our Shepherd, we lack nothing. You make us lie down in green pastures, You lead us beside the still waters. You restore our souls. You lead us in the path of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Even when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil, for You are with us. You are Emmanuel, God with us. Your rod and Your Staff, your Holy Spirit and Your Word, they comfort us. You prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies. You anoint our heads with oil, overflowing with blessings. Surely goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives and we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
    Love you ❤️

    1. Oh, no, dear friend, it is not problem...I am grateful for every, single one of your comments! But, it only posted once, so it must not have gone through the first time. We are SO thankful to you for your prayers and the comforting words. Today has been a rough day, and there have been many tears knowing we will never be together again on this earth, but thank you for the precious reminder that we WILL see her again and in the presence of Jesus! I love how you said that, and oh, it was such a dear comfort. What a time of rejoicing we will all have together in eternity, and praise God, there will be NO more sickness. Aunt Vaida's cancer is GONE, and she is at rest and has no more fear and dread of leaving her loved ones. She did NOT want to go, bless her dear heart, but I know once she saw sweet Jesus' face, every toil in this life just faded away. I am so thankful for you and your loving support and kindness. Sending much love back to you with many hugs.
